It’s Fang!

Finally, after months and months of what would appear to be the symptoms, Emily has sprouted her first tooth.
We had been suspecting something was imminent for a while now, since she’s been a bit more restless at night, dribbling for England and generally showing all the signs associated with impending toothiness (although fortunately she was as happy as usual and didn’t appear too bothered by it), but it was only at the weekend, when I felt her bottom gum, did I notice the sharp little ridge that can only mean a tooth has popped through.
Since then – apart from getting very excited – I’ve been checking it on a daily basis, and so far it is just a sharp little ridge, but of course it can now only be a matter of time before the rest of the tooth appears.
So far, she has been intrigued by the new arrival, constantly poking her tongue over it – and of course she is still biting everything in sight. Now she has one, of course, we can’t help thinking it’ll be only a matter of time before she has a whole mouthful. Yet another sign that my little girl is growing up a lot faster than I could ever have imagined.
